Send your first invoice
Bill the finished job in a few clicks. Any deposit is already taken off, and your customer pays online from the email.
When the work is done, invoice it straight from the job. The lines come from the job, and any deposit your customer already paid comes off the balance.
Create the invoice
- Open the job in Work → Jobs. A finished job shows Needs invoicing and a note: "The work is done. Create the invoice to get paid."
- Click Create invoice.
- A draft invoice opens. Your customer can't see it yet.
No job? You can also click Create invoice on a signed quote, or start one in Work → Invoices with New invoice.
Check it
- Check the Customer and Title.
- Pick the Terms (like Due on receipt or Net 30). The Due date fills in.
- Under What you're billing for, change any line that changed on the job, or click Add line for extra work.
- Add Notes to the customer if you like.
- Click Save.
Send it
Click Send invoice. We email your customer a link to the invoice, with your logo and colors. They can pay the full balance or part of it online, and you're told when they do.
To text it instead, copy the link from the Customer link card.
Heads up: Online card payments need Stripe connected first. See Connect Stripe payments. You can also take Zelle, Venmo or PayPal, or record a check yourself.
