Instant payouts
See your Stripe balance and upcoming payouts, and move card money to your debit card in minutes, any day of the week.
Included on every plan. New and rolling out: if you don’t see it yet, ask us to switch it on.
Card payments normally reach your bank on Stripe's payout schedule, a few days later. With instant payouts you can move money to your debit card in about 30 minutes, any day, including weekends.
Where to find it
Once Stripe is connected, a Payouts box appears on Settings → Payments and on the Reports page. It shows:
- Available: ready to pay out.
- Instant available: what can go to your card right now.
- Pending: card payments still settling.
- Next payout: the next scheduled payout to your bank and when it arrives, or your payout schedule.
Below that is a list of recent payouts with the date, amount, type (Instant, Scheduled or Standard), status and arrival date. Open in Stripe takes you to your Stripe Dashboard, and Refresh reloads the numbers.
Send an instant payout
- In the Payouts box, click Instant payout.
- Enter the Amount, up to what's instantly available. All of it fills in the most you can send.
- Under To, pick the debit card.
- Check the fee shown, then click Send … now.
The money usually reaches your card within 30 minutes. The smallest instant payout is $0.50.
Only people who can both see money and change business settings (Owners, for example) see the Instant payout button.
Fees
Stripe charges 1.5% of an instant payout, at least $0.50, taken from your Stripe balance. Hello to Paid adds no fee. Anything you don't move instantly is paid out on your normal schedule for free. See Fees explained.
If you can't send one
The box tells you why:
- Add a debit card for instant payouts in your Stripe Dashboard. Instant payouts go to a debit card, not a bank account. Click Open in Stripe and add one.
- Nothing is available to pay out instantly right now. Card payments show up as soon as they go through. New Stripe accounts may need a few weeks before Stripe allows instant payouts.
